A 16-year-old girl from Vidyavihar attempted suicide by consuming poison yesterday afternoon after the SSC results were declared
The Std X student Jyotsna Satpad tried killing herself after a visit to her school, where she discovered that she had secured 42 per cent. According to the police, she was extremely disappointed and had expected to score better.
She was rushed to Rajawadi Hospital at 2 pm. Her relatives refused to comment and only said that her condition was stable and that she would be discharged in two to three days. The SSC results were declared yesterday at 1 pm. No cases of suicide or attempted suicide were reported in Sion, KEM and JJ Hospitals, said the deans of the respective hospitals.u00a0
