This Saturday, the suburb of Bandra plays host to a unique exhibition that will feature over 15 species of birds you aren't going to find perched on a tree outside your window, and over 100 species of fish including the Tetra Fish, Marine Fish, Star Fish and Clown Fish.

Sanjeevan, an organisation of animal lovers and hobbyists is striving to preserve the balance between wildlife and humans, and through the Sanjeevan Exotic Bird and Fish exhibit, it hopes to spread awareness about what it takes to adopt a pet and how to take care of them.

"People buy birds and pets without figuringu00a0 how to take care of them. Animals can't talk, but you can decipher their needs through body language or by looking into their eyes or face," says Mufaddal Tambawala of Sanjeevan.

This Sunday, you will wake up to a classical music alarm, with musician-singer Shankar Mahadevan performing at an open-air dawn concert. Spiritual Morning will witness renditions of classical Carnatic and Hindustani melodies.

The musical morning organised by Pancham Nishad in association with Tata Capital and Shrenuj will also feature Rupak Kulkarni on the flute, Aditya Kalyanpur on the tabla, Mukund Petkar on the harmonium and Sridhar Parthasarthy on the mridangam.

Pick up an ethnic Phulkari dupatta painstakingly embroidered by a National Awardee from Punjab at the Urban Haat Complex at Navi Mumbai, where more than fifty artisans from all over the country have gathered to showcase their wares.

Artisan Mela, a part of the Navi Mumbai festival organised by the Surabhi Foundation and CIDCO, houses Bell Metal craft items created using the wax process, and a stall where you can learn how to block print a fabric.
