Alejandro Sotomonte Nino, a vet from the Colombian Animal Protection Foundation, told The Metro, "The hypothesis we have is that a traveller abandoned it. Apparently, during the first month that the dog was at the airport, it was going through the halls looking for someone, possibly the owner."
Cloder back to home, Mumbaikars have come a long way when it comes to abandoning their pets. Activists and animal lovers are fuming over the increasing number of cases of people discarding their pets to avoid caring for them. In the latest such instance, a Great Dane was found abandoned near Waghobha ghat in Palghar, which houses leopards and hyenas, in September.
