Defending champions Don Bosco (Matunga) registered a 2-1 win over Children's Academy (Malad) to clinch the Mumbai Schools Sports Association (MSSA) Junior Aga Khan boys' U-16 knockout title at Sports Authority of India, Kandivli hockey ground on Friday.

Don Bosco took the lead in the second minute through a Ayush Shetty's field goal. However Children's Academy's Jay Dhanawade made it 1-1 11 minutes later.
Sahil Singh netted the winner for the Matunga school (36th min). Don Bosco coach Javed Sayed said the win was special since the team hardly practised.

"Most of the boys are in Std X, so couldn't practise much. Also, with the SSC prelims at hand, we barely managed to 11 players."
Meanwhile, Duruelo Convent (Bandra) beat St Teresa's (Santacruz) 1-0 to win the KG Kalantri girls' U-16 title. hockey Pranali Patil's scored the winner for Duruelo off a penalty corner.
