'One phone call does not make him a cheater'

I overheard my boyfriend speaking to a woman on the phone and they sounded pretty friendly. When I asked him about it, he said she was just a colleague, but I don't trust him. He says I'm overreacting, but how do I know if she is just a friend?
You haven't actually caught him doing anything wrong. If you are in a relationship with someone, one of the most important things to focus on is trust. Has he given you any reason to doubt him before this? Does he do or say things that make you believe he is in a relationship with someone else? If he isn't, you must accept the fact that he can and will be friends with other women. You will have to find a way to deal with it. If you're insecure about something, talk to him about it.

I was in a long distance relationship with a guy for a year and a half until we finally managed to live in the same city. I may have to move again though, and he says it will be hard for him to do the same thing. He wants to call it off. I tell him that we managed to pull it off earlier so there's no reason why we won't manage it this time, but he says it's too much work. Is he being unreasonable?
Long distance relationships are always hard to maintain, and different for both individuals. If you managed the last time, it doesn't necessarily mean it was as easy for him. Also, you are both older, which makes a difference in how each of you will look at this. Maybe he wants to be with someone he can meet, as opposed to someone he can just chat with. If he has a rational explanation for why he feels this way, hear him out. And if he genuinely believes it makes more sense to end this, you don't have much of a choice. You may simply have to accept it and move on.
