The KC outfit yesterday were not well organised and lacked co-ordination and that's what cost them the title. Conversely, the St Xavier's boys combined well and denied the KC strikers from creating any scoring opportunities.

Aditya gave St Xavier's the lead in the 11th minute with a long-range effort. Six minutes later, Klien Pinto doubled their lead, tapping in a pass from Christopher Fernandes from the left flank.

The change of ends did not help KC's fate, as Aditya got his second of the match, tapping in a rebound off the post in the 32nd minute. The 15-year-old FYJC (Arts) student later said his team expected stiffer competition from their Churchgate opponents.

"We expected a close match and didn't think that we would beat them in this manner. All credit to our coaches Jeffery Campus and Samrat Golkar, who ensured we took advantage of their weak defence."

Other Results: All Finals: G-U-17: Cathedral and John Connon (Fort) 2 (Devangi Maheshwari, Nikita Jain) bt Bombay Scottish (Mahim) 1 (Trisha Thakkar); B-U-14: Don Bosco (Matunga) 3 (Lance Fernandes, Joshua D'Souza, Karsten D'Souza) bt Campion (Cooperage) 2 (Soumail Singh, Aditya Basu) via tie-breaker.
