Trade experts feel that the film will easily cross the Rs 150 crore mark. However if it will break the record of 3 Idiots (over Rs 200 crore), still remains to be seen. While there are several figures floating in the market, we give you the first five-day collections of the film.

The film opened on August 15 (Wednesday) at Rs 30.35 crore, Thursday Rs 13.54 crore, Friday Rs 12.12 crore, Saturday Rs 15.45 crore and Sunday Rs 21.22 core. The collection of the film is at Rs 92.68 crore after the first five days and while going to the press, the film had already crossed the Rs 100 crore mark with its Monday collections. The producers Yash Raj Films claim that the first five-day collections of the film stand at around Rs 100.16 crore.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh says, “The collections are beyond historic. With Eid, the next three days will be huge. The collections of the film over the next three days will be humungous. It is the fastest ever Rs 100 crore film. The collections will keep soaring till Wednesday.”

Trade analyst Amod Mehra says, “The film had an extraordinary first-day and although the numbers fell on Thursday and Friday, on Saturday and Sunday it soared again. The film is expected to race to Rs 150 crore. Despite mixed response from the audience, it has made no difference to the collections. The film will most probably make Rs 200 crore.”

On the other hand, Gangs of Wasseypur Part II suffered the Ek Tha Tiger wave. Adarsh says, “Gangs did not do well in its second week despite being a good film.”u00a0Mehra adds, “It is on its way out.”
