Elaborate marriage proposal becomes online sensation
A Portland man's creative marriage proposal not only landed him a fianc but shot him to viral video stardom as well.
Isaac Lamb popped the question to his girlfriend Amy Frankel on Wednesday in what he billed as the first live lip dub proposal — an elaborate, choreographed dance routine that has already been viewed over 1.5 million times on YouTube.
Set to the song Marry You by Bruno Mars, the stunt features roughly 60 of the couple’s friends and family members dancing and lip syncing through the streets, culminating in Lamb getting down on one knee.
The video kicks off with Lamb’s brother seating Frankel in the back of a car with a pair of headphones as he tells her he wants her to listen to a song. “This song really tends to exemplify you and Isaac’s relationship — it really does to me,” he says.
Lamb said he didn’t make the video imagining anyone he didn’t know would see it. “To be honest it’s a little overwhelming. I’m really, really, really touched by how positive people’s reactions have been,” Lamb said. My intention was never to make a viral video.”
