Dr Rajendra Prasad aka Quick Gun Murugun talks guns, bullets and smoking dialogue
IT is an afternoon filled with comic interlude, an eye-blindingly bright cowboy costume, sideburns one can't ignore, kohl-painted eyebrows, a heavy dose of southern accent enna rascala and Quick Gun Murugun.
Dr Rajendra Prasad (the title 'Dr' being an honorary one) who plays Quick Gun Murugun walks out of his changing room at Metro Adlabs looking dapper (really, he did!) in the most ridiculously colourful outfit of burning orange pants tucked into white cowboy boots, a green shirt with leopard print waistcoat, and a leather waist gun holster with two beautifully gleaming steel pistols a loud costume on a soft-spoken actor.

Outside the store, eyes notice Prasad stepping out of the car. The owners are overtly welcoming. Prasad, now Murugun, whips out the pistols from the holster and tells the store owners and whoever else is listening that his one bullet can down five-six people. He asks for a double barrel rifle, handling it deftly. His son Balaji is a national level shooter. Someone asks, "Are you a real doctor?" Prasad replies with a laugh, "I have a doctorate in acting."
Another patron in the store asks to see the bullets, Prasad hands him one and says in his southern accent, "Yah to dummy haai." Then he gets into the dialogue mode: "The earth is my bed, the sky is my ceiling and the whole creation is my native placeu2026" At this point, the storeowner interrupts innocently, "Which place?" Prasad ignores him and continues, "...My name is Murugun.. Quick Gun Murugun."
Outside, curious faces grow on the glass door by the second. Murugun is unfazed. He confidently opens the door and steps out into the cheering crowd as a little girl shows a thumbs up sign. And though he has an option of side-stepping the crowd, steps right into it and makes way to his car.

He lowers his glass pane and talks to the crowd now gathered around his car. As the car starts moving, the crowd cheers some more.
"Shah Rukh Khan thode hi hai..." a voice says.
We say, mind it!
