Kolkata Knight Riders skipper Gautam Gambhir yesterday credited batsman Eoin Morgan for their emphatic win over Sunrisers Hyderabad at Eden Gardens here yesterday
“Morgan’s knock made the entire difference. When you are thinking of 160 as a target and you get 180, it is always a big plus. Those 20 plus runs were possible because of his knock,” Gambhir said after his team posted a 48-run win over the Hyderabad.
Morgan scored a blistering 47 off just 29 balls to take his team to 180, a total which eventually proved too much for the opponents.

Gambhir described yesterday’s victory — their first after two consecutive losses — as satisfying but said his team needed to continue to play well in their endeavour to defend their crown.
