He was on his way home to Kalyan, when he fell off the train at Kurla. His relative, who was accompanying him, realised that Abraham had fallen and alighted at Vidyavihar railway station, after which he rushed to the spot.

Abraham was taken to Sion hospital, but was declared dead before admission. His body will be sent for an autopsy today. The bereaved family has decided to perform the last rites at their native place in Kerala. Abraham is survived by his wife and son.

Abraham served MiD DAY for 26 years and held various posts in the organisation. He started off as a proofreader and rose among the ranks to become a sub-editor of Sunday MiD DAY, a position he held before moving on. During his stint here, Abraham also worked as a reporter for the paper.
