The German led the timesheets with a lap of 1min 09.113 in the second session in Spielberg after Valterri Bottas in a Williams had led the way in the morning with a lap of 1:10.029. Ferrari's test driver Esteban Gutierrez split this pair to post the second fastest time of the second and final day of testing ahead of next month's British Grand Prix at Silverstone.
