We love designer and high street tie-ups. These options offer the signature style of the designer and the prices are relatively lesser too. One of our favourites has been Mawi for Koovs.

Accessories shopping portal, Pookaari.com, rolled out one such exclusive collection in July with designer Nitya Arora of the label Valliyan. For its latest offering, the website has roped in another sought-after jewellery designer — Mrinalini Chandra.

Known for her eclectic yet wearable designs, Chandra has won great reviews for her shows at the fashion week in the city, which featured motifs such as monkeys and chairs (our favourites were the chair kalire, worn by north Indian brides).

The monkeys will make yet another appearance for her collection for Pookaari, so will intricate floral lattices.

Will be available starting October 13

Chic House, a new shopping portal offers stylish fashion and home décor buys

Do you find online shopping a tad restrictive? Chic House, the latest entrant in the web shopping scene offers a solution.
The company will hold occasional pop-ups to showcase all the new products that will be added to their website for customers to shop or even just try and then make the purchase online.

Founders Krati Mirchandani and Saakshi Mirchandani feel this will help merge the experience of shopping online and offline in one go. The pop-up with their first set of designers will be held on October 17 at St Regis in Lower Parel.

On offer are curated labels that aren’t your usual suspects at shopping websites.

These labels include Three, a name which made a fresh appearance at the previous season of the fashion week in the city with non-fuss apparel made of breathable fabrics. Other labels include Mayank Anand and Shraddha Nigam, Urbane, Crazyheart, Simone by Simran, and Shilpa K and Khadijeh, among others.

Our favourite is the home décor section featuring unique pieces by Rayden Design Studio, Team Embellish and Ironworks. Ironworks is the brainchild of Tejal Mathur, who has worked on the interiors of popular eateries such as Pali Village Café and The Nutcracker. For bauble-lovers, there are accessory offerings by Marsala (by actress sisters, Nisha and Kajal Aggarwal), Kichu, Meraki and Bags by Ank to name a few. Also on offer is tea by DancingLeaf Tea
