Sudnya Shroff, an upcoming fashion designer who is originally from Pune but currently based in California will join hands with London-based Surinder Dosanjh Kang to present their latest collection of Western and Indian clothesline for women. On that note, Shroff shares, “There is a huge demand for Indian clothes in California and a lot of IT professionals from Pune who are now situated in Los Angeles visit us too.

Due to their positive response, we decided to come up with an exhibition in the city where Punekars can buy as well as order our collection.” Shroff informs that most of the collection uses Indian fabrics and has tribal motifs as the latter is highly popular.

Dosanjh Kang adds, “I feel that Pune is a city that is open to new designs, and cuts.”

The designs have been created keeping the middle-aged in mind. One can pick and choose from various outfits such as tops, dresses, resort wear as well as sarees, dupattas and salwar kameez.

The collection will be available on an ongoing basis to Indian customers online too. Shroff concludes, “the collection will be very colourful as the festival season is coming up and people like to wear strong hues.

We did some small exhibitions in the city earlier but now we thought of coming up with something big for all.”

On: September 14, 11 am to 5pm
At: JW Marriott, SB Road.
