What: In an Artist’s Mind is an art show curated by Reshma Jani and Shwetaambari Soni of Gallerie Angel Arts. In its fifth edition, it will merge fashion with art and have a fashion soiree to accompany the preview of artworks. The preview will be co-hosted by entrepreneur Anushka Rajan and designer Tanya Sharma. Sharma’s fashion label GaGa offers ready-to-wear clothes for women aged 16 to 45. The art show will have works by Suneel Mammadapur, Uma S Pathak, Umakant Kanade, Bhisham Chawla, Bhumika Takshak, Chandini Vora, Pratul Dash, Riyas Komu, Sheetal Deewan, Nitish Bhattacharjee and Raghava KK, among other artists.

How: Shwetaambari Soni talks about the event, “The highlight is a fashion walkthrough by designer Tanya Sharma along with modern Indian contemporary art displayed at the venue. We wanted the show to have a young vibe and thus, we decided to have Anushka host the show with us.”

She adds that the show is targetted at the next generation of art collectors, who are open to new experiences, so as to offer them an avenue to appreciate and collect art. Reshma Jani adds that since fashion is also about aesthetics, they decided to amalgamate art with fashion. “We decided to combine upcoming artists with established artists so that our guests could be introduced to both kinds of artists. Seeing that Tanya’s collection had a young and sporty vibe to it, we decided to have her clothes be a part of this show as well,” she states.
