One of the biggest names in the field of fashion, Sabyasachi Mukherjee, gives a glimpse into his forthcoming collection for the grand finale of Lakme Fashion Week Winter / Festive 2013, which is inspired by royal families from across the world.
He is known for being the red carpet favourite of some of the biggest names from the film industry and bringing Indian textiles back in fashion. One of the best names of Indian fashion industry, Sabyasachi Mukherjee, will be showcasing at the grand finale at the Winter / Festive edition of Lakme Fashion Week (LFW) on August 27.
Looking at the invite to the event we had figured that there will be influences for the Art Deco era of the 1920s (think The Great Gatsby), Mukherjee has also used royal families from across the globe as his muse.
Speaking about his collection, Mukherjee said, “Revisiting the magnificence of royalty, my collection at LFW grand finale is a tribute to the reign of the graceful, eloquent queens. The brilliant palettes of colours reflect a modern twist to regality and have been a powerful inspiration for my collection this season. The royal shades of red and emerald green from my creations are the hues that will brighten this festive season.”
