Around 8-10 people trapped in World Trade Centre elevators promptly rescued by the fire brigade officers.

u00a0The World Trade Centre was the location of high drama on Wednesday with around eight-ten people getting trapped in elevators due to power failure.


A potntially serious situation was avoided with prompt action as Fire Brigade officials rescuing the trapped people within 30 minutes.


According to the officials from Cuffe Parade police station, “The incident took place on Wednesday evening when around 8-10 people were trapped in the lifts for 20 minutes after power failure. Soon, the fire brigade rushed the spot and safely evacuated the people.”


According to the fire bridage officials, "We received a call at 6.05 pm and soon after that we sent our rescue team and evacuated everyone stuck in the elevators."
