First-day rush for centralised admission forms in Pune

First-day rush for centralised admission forms in Pune

Students and parents thronged junior colleges to collect class XI centralised admission forms yesterday. On the first day of distribution a total of 47,771 forms were sold across the city.u00a0

“We are making available class XI centralised admission forms in junior colleges all over the city till June 14. Even after giving ample time to
purchase applications, most of the students chose to collect them today.


That’s why in the morning heavy rush was observed in all major colleges of the city,” said Balasaheb Owhal, assistant director (education) of Pune division, who is overseeing the class XI centralised admission procedure.


The highest number of forms – 22,053 – was sold for Science stream. For Bifocal courses the number of forms distributed yesterday was 5,232.u00a0


A total of 17,959 forms from the Commerce stream and 2,270 from Arts found takers on the first day. The state board hasstarted an option of Allowed To Keep Term (ATKT) for SSC.

This means students who have failed in two subjects can take benefit of ATKT and can get provisional admission in class XI. 257 students have acquired forms for admission under ATKT.

Class X students will get their board mark list at their respective schools on June 15. The form submission will begin on June 16.
