The two crew members of an Italian ship who allegedly shot dead two Indian fishermen off the Kerala coast will be produced before a court at Kollam Monday, a day after their arrest, police said.

Latorre Massimillano and Salvatore Girone were picked up from the Italian vessel Enrica Lexie Sunday afternoon and arrested late night.

They were housed at the CISF guest house here Sunday.

Police officials pointed out that with Monday being a public holiday, the two crew members would be produced before the Kollam chief judicial magistrate at his residence by evening.

Two fishermen, Ajesh Binki, 25, from Tamil Nadu and Gelastine, 45, from Kerala, were allegedly mistaken as pirates and shot dead by the crew of the Italian cargo vessel Feb 15 evening, about 14 nautical miles off Alappuzha.
