A series of programmes have been organised across the city to mark the 64th Republic Day celebrations in the city

Five biggest attractions in Mumbai on Republic Day

Mumbai First and several corporate entities have come together to celebrate the democratic spirit of the citizens by organising a series of events today. The Army band will perform at Worli, while the Navy Band at Marine Drive. The BMC band will perform at Bandstand, Bandra and the police band will perform at Raj Bhavan.


Around 2,500 children from BMC schools, including disabled kids, would be shown the children’s movie African Safari at various theatres across the city after which they would be provided lunch. A programme organised by the Cricket Club of India ‘Ability Unlimited’ will see 250 people gather to celebrate Republic Day. A similar programmme is also being organised at Bombay Gymkhana.


A ‘Mushaira’ will be organised at the Gateway of India, followed by a laser show (if permission is granted from the cultural and heritage department) at 7.00 pm.u00a0Non-stop fireworks will be on display for 15 minutes at NCPA, BKC, Marine Drive and Bandstand.u00a0
