Due to the strong protest, the Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC) has made it mandatory for all the toll nakas across the state to install Automated Traffic Count and Classification System (ATCCS). However, it hasn’t been implemented yet.

Sukhoi skids off the Lohegaon airport runway

On April 19, a SUKHOI-30 fighter aircraft of the Indian Air Force shot off the runway at the Lohegaon airport, a facility used by both civilian passenger aircraft and the Air Force.

“Due to a problem in the nose undercarriage of a SU-30 aircraft there was a runway blockage at 9.15 am at the Pune air base. The runway was cleared for all operations at 1 pm,” an officer said. As the aircraft remained stuck at the spot for quite some time, the air traffic was badly affected.
