Foot injury rules Pattinson out of Test series

Rising Australia pace star James Pattinson will miss the rest of the Test series against India with a foot injury, team officials said yesterday.

It continues Australia's wretched run of injuries to their leading pace bowlers with Mitchell Johnson, Pat Cummins and until recently Ryan Harris out of action.

Selectors have added Mitchell Starc to a 12-man squad for next week's third Test in Perth, with Harris now in line for a return to action.
