For 8 days, broken-down bus on road makes Camp residents' life miserable

The bus (no MH12 EQ 4349), which has been parked on the Moledina Road near Rosary School, has occupied almost half of the road.

Neither the PMPML authorities nor the u00a0traffic police have taken any steps to tow the bus away

“Traffic police take immediate action against two-wheelers, but ignored this bus which is creating traffic problem at Camp,” said Dinesh Garg, a resident of the area.u00a0PMPML PRO Deepaksingh Pardeshi said that since the bus belonged to a private contractor, Prasanna, it was the contractor’s duty to repair and take the bus off the road. “Due to unavailability of spare parts the bus has not been repaired yet. We have informed them to take immediate action,” Pardeshi said.u00a0

DCP (Traffic) Vishwas Pandhare said that action would be initiated against the contractor if the situation persists. “We have already communicated to them about the frequent breakdown of PMPML buses. However, they are simply turning a blind eye and not reacting to the notices,” he said.u00a0
