If 2014 had nothing much to cheer for the two reigning superstars Mammootty and Mohanlal, 2015 looks bright with numerous films already inked by the duo.

While Mammootty had seven releases in 2014 - including "Varsham" that was termed as the real money spinner and "Munnuariyupu" that showed his brilliance as an actor - the rest did not warm the box office.

Mohanlal had just three releases and barring "Peruchazhi", the other two did not work wonders. However, "Drishyam", released in late 2013, did the real business even last year.

For 2015, Mammootty has his first release later this month when "Fireman" hits the screen followed by "Pathemary" and "Bhaskar the Rascal".

Among the other films that have been listed for the 62-year-old superstar this year are films directed by veterans like Kamal, Joshy, Amal Neerad and Anwar Rasheed.

For 54-year-old Mohanlal, the most awaited film is the one directed by veteran Sathyan Anthikadu where his co-star is Manju Warrier.

Then he has "Laila O Laila" directed by Joshy followed by "Pulimuruken". The others include films directed by Priyadarshan and Sreekumar.
