Atleast four persons including a college principal were killed today and one seriously injured, when their car rammed into a truck near Kadodara village in Surat, police said

Surat : Atleast four persons including a college principal were killed today and one seriously injured, when their car rammed into a truck near Kadodara village here, police said.


The deceased were identfied as Swapnil Kadam (37), Janardan Sankle(35), Anil Kamble (32) and Arvind Pandit(35), all residents of Aurangabad of Maharashtra. The injured, Sachin Godrao (20), is now being treated at Surat civil hospital.


Kadam used to work as a principal of a college in Satara town of Maharashtra. For some work, Kadam and four others were coming to Ahmedabad in their car.


According to Kadodara GIDC police, the accident took place at near Modi hospital on Kadodara highway, 60 Km away from Surat city. "When their car reached at Kadodara around 4am, the car driver lost control and rammed it into a moving truck, killing four on the spot and injuring one seriously.

He is admitted at civil hospital" said Kadodara police inspector H N Rathod.
