Industrywallas pay their heartfelt respect as yesteryear actor Dara Singh passes away

Vindoo Dara Singh (son) says, “The angel has now gone to shine like a star above and even the gods are crying with the rain.”

Sunil Bohra, the grandson of Sriram Bohra who made three blockbuster films with Dara Singh, including his debut film Hercules, says, “Daraji and my grandfather Sriramji were the best of friends. Hercules was followed by Thief of Bagdad and than Jai Hanuman. Ever since both the families have always been in touch and emotionally bonded. Today I have lost a father figure.”

Arun Govil, who acted with Dara Singh in Ramayan, says, “Dara ji was a fine person, who never created any hassle on the sets. For the Hanuman role he had to wear a mask, due to which he would not be able to eat or drink anything. The shoot used to go on for long hours but he never once removed the mask before pack-up. He was a kind and dedicated man. I have seen his films, as well as his wrestling matches when I was a kid. He was my superhero.”
