Colombian singer Shakira goes on a drive in Barcelona with Gerard Pique, quashing rumours of their split
Colombian singer, songwriter and record producer Shakira, 40, and Barcelona star Gerard Pique, 30, looked content as the couple went on a drive in Barcelona together last night. There were rumours recently that the couple had split after six years of being in a relationship. Shakira was seen sitting next to Pique, who wore a black baseball cap. The duo have two sons Milan, four, and Sasha, two, together.

Several reports in Spanish website Cotilleo claimed that the couple was no longer living together and that the pop star had
instigated the split.
"It's something serious and she has been the one who has finally made the decision. Shakira could no longer cope with the situation," a source told website Cotilleo.
Meanwhile, Shakira is taking an extended break after cancelling the European leg of her current would tour, which she rescheduled to 2018, after suffering a haemorrhage to her vocal chords.
In a Instagram post, Shakira apologised to her fans, saying she has a 'heavy heart'. She said it was necessary to stop singing to recover. "I have unfortunately strained my vocal chords and as a result my doctors have ordered me to go on vocal rest to avoid any greater damage that could keep me from performing," she wrote.
