The best companion for travel is of course, a splendid bike. Delhi-based initiative Riderthon beckons all to rev up the engine or hitch a ride for their event, Mountains, Music & Motorcycles Half Summit is a gateway to the Himalayas on World Motorcycle Day, which happens to be on June 21 — the longest day of the year.

Delhi-based Riderthon is a unique initiative that started four years back to encourage bike riding in the mountains along with non-commercial music. The Half Summit will entail a ride to Manali while camping in the midst of the Himalayas. The camping site will be in the middle of the forest next to the Beas river where good quality tents will be pitched. One can opt for an easy rider package, which will cost Rs 4,700 per person.  The package includes one night of camping accommodation, breakfast and dinner, day rides along with Superbikes to Rohtang and around Manali, adventure activities and live music performances in Old Manali. The local bike rentals are Rs 1,500 per day with options of KTM or Enfield 350 CC and Rs 2,200 per day for Royal Enfield 500 CC.

Riderthon is committed to the goal of “Zero Residual Damage”. All the music and LED lights at the festivals use minimal power. No paper or plastic is used for the festival and no pollution on the site is tolerated. All waste materials will be recycled or disposed responsibly at the end of the festival. For adventure seekers, enthusiasts can try trekking, rock climbing, water cannoying, ATV rides, mountain biking, Jeep safari, motor
biking and more.
