New Delhi: Gionee launched its Elife S6 smartphone in China priced at CNY 1,699 (roughly Rs. 17,500) yesterday. The smartphone will be available in gold and platinum colour variants.
The smartphone is just 4mm at its thinnest point and 6.9mm at its thickest point. It sports a height of 151.9mm while the width is 74.6mm. It weights 147 grams.

The device sports a 5.5 inch HD AMOLED display with 1280 x 720 pixels of resolution. It is powered by a 1.3GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6753 processor paired with 3GB RAM 32GB ROM.
Running Amigo 3.1 OS based on Android 5.1 Lollipop, the Gionee Elife S6 comes with dual-SIM (Micro+Nano) SIM support. The second SIM slot also doubles as the MicroSD card slot.
It has a 13-megapixel autofocus rear camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. It features modes such as night mode, panorama mode, burst mode, magic focus and more. Full-HD resolution video recording is also included.
The metal-clad smartphone has 3150mAh battery, which will deliver up to 18.8 hours of talk-time and 342 hours of standby time.
Connectivity options include Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, GPS, 4G LTE (including Band 40), USB OTG and USB Type-C connectivity.
