Having failed to score any points for the last three seasons, Marussia-Cosworth F1 team driver Timo Glock hopes to get lucky at the Indian Grand Prix (Oct 26-28) to be held at the Buddh International Circuit (BIC)

Last year, the German had to retire after Lap 2 at the inaugural Indian GP, but the 30-year-old is confident that his driving experience will keep him and the team in good stead this year.u00a0

“It’s frustrating as a driver not to score any points and I have been unlucky. The BIC is a fantastic track and I hope to score some points there. We are trying to keep the 10th place in the Constructors standings this year which will ensure more money next year. Though I wasn’t able to complete the race last year, the experience will sure come in handy,” said Glock, who occupies the 19th position in the driver’s championship.

As Glock, the lead driver of the low-ranked Marussia-Cosworth expects his team do well, he predicted a tight battle between Red Bull and Ferrari in the title race.

“With Sebastian Vettel doing well for Red Bull they have quite a bit of chance to win the title this year. But it also depends what Ferrari can do. So, it will be a close call between Red Bull and Ferrari,” said Glock, who took to driving after watching fellow German and Mercedes F1 driver Michael Schumacher.

He also lamented the fact that low budget hampers performance of smaller teams like theirs. “We don’t have power like the big teams do. I hope we can get a bigger budget and group next season. The big guys have 200-300 million euros and we have just 60 million euros. So it is difficult to manage a team,” said Glock at a media conference yesterday. The German finished 12th at the Singapore GP, his best finish so far.u00a0
