Climb mountains, ride dirt bikes
If you are looking for an adventurous getaway from the fast paced life of the city, head to Lonavala’s sporty adventure hub 19 Degrees North. The newly renovated theme park offers a range of adventure sports including ATV dirt bike rides, zip-line, rappelling, bungee trampoline along with jungle safari rides. You can also camp at the site, down the hill and lounge by a bonfire with your group.
Thumbs up: The site is well-maintained and has a great range of activities to do throughout the day.
Thumbs down: The food is costly with even a dish like Kheema Pav priced at Rs 350 while a can of aerated drinks starts from Rs 120.

Eco-friendly entertainment
Appu Ghar, or the Indira Gandhi Udyan, is situated at the foot hills of Shri Durga Devi Tekadi. Opened in the early 90s, the amusement park is one of the oldest entertainment parks around the city and provides eco-friendly entertainment. All the rides at Appu Ghar are imported from Italy. There are 11 rides for adults and families and eight stand-alone rides for children.

Thumbs up: The newly-opened Go Karting facility is a must try. Also, the hills of Durga Tekadi are a scenic experience.
Thumbs down: You cannot spend a whole day here as one can finish all the rides in a span of 2-3 hours.
