Another Indian vegetarian athlete, Pankaj Advani is struggling with the food dished out to participants at the Games here.

"The food is not good at all here. I'm literally living on bread, jam, biscuits and pizzas (vegetarian obviously). Everything else here is perfect, just that food has not been up to the mark for us veggies," Advani told MiD DAY after he repeated his Doha Asian Games gold medal-winning feat yesterday. On Saturday, ace India shooter Gagan Narang revealed how he too was struggling to get his hands on some vegetarian food in this part of the world.

lEngland-born Singaporean Peter Gilchrist has been one of the dominant forces in the world of billiards. Even before Advani took to the table, Gilchrist told MiD DAY that Advani would have the yellow metal around his neck for the second time. "Advani is one of the best billiards players in the world today. Till date, for me, Geet Sethi has been India's best, but from now on, it's Advani. The gold is definitely his for the taking," the 42-year-old had said. Needless to say, it was a perfect pot from the legend!
