Goldi Shahi, a national-level athlete from Sports Authority of India, proved her mettle by winning four golds and a silver medal in the women's section of the Bombay YMCA State Level Athletic Championships held at Sports Authority of India's Kandivli complex yesterday.
Goldi, who bagged a bronze medal in heptathlon in the All India Athletic meet this year, won gold medals in the 100m, 800m, long jump and shot put events. Her lone silver medal came in the javelin throw.

Meanwhile, Thane’s Nidhi Singh won the 200m event to add to her tally of gold medals in the 100m, 400m and 800m categories in the girls under-16 section.
Another Thane athlete, Narayan Satheesh, broke the boys under-16 800m record, set five years ago by TopGear’s Edrin Lobo (2:12.1 secs), by clocking 2:01.1 secs.u00a0In the girls under-18 section, Sandita D’Souza from Prabodhan (Goregaon) won the the 400m and 800m events.u00a0
