London: Jeev Milkha Singh, who is slowly getting back into his game, as he negotiates his way past a back niggle, made the halfway cut despite two disappointing bogeys on the back nine at the British Masters.

Jeev, a big draw in Europe, where a lot of Indians turn up to see him, shot an even par 71 after a first round 69 to total two-under 140 for 36 holes. He was tied-38th with some players still out on the course.

Meanwhile, Lee Soomin of Korea earned a bonanza for himself and the kids from the Golf Foundation with a perfect hole-in-one on the Hero Charity Hole on the par-3 13th hole.

Starting from the tenth, Lee opened bogey-bogey and then after a par, he struck gold with first-ever hole-in-one in a tournament. The Korean, who celebrated his 23rd birthday two days ago, hit his 6-Iron to perfection as it landed on the green rolled into the cup, much to the thrill of the spectators following his group that included two Englishmen Lee Slattery and Matthew Southgate.
