Got to score points at India's first GP: Mallya

It's no revelation that Sahara Force India team principal Vijay Mallya is very passionate about his team. And he is seriously kicked about the coming on board of the Sahara Group recently, However, the Kingfisher boss doesn't quite enjoy too many cross questions on the deal between the two conglomerates, and the so-called 'way ahead' for his Force India team.

On Saturday, when he was speaking to members of the Indian media, Mallya displayed quite a dissatisfied-looking grin when asked whether Sahara would have a more active role in the running of the team.

"Sahara have pumped a 100 million into the team and as per the deal, they have a member on the board while I will continue to run the team. However, if they do have some valuable inputs that will help improve the car or get us on the podium, then they are more that welcome to have their say," he said.

The liquor baron however, was pleased with the day's proceedings after senior driver Adrian Sutil qualified eighth (the other driver Paul di Resta will start today's race from 12th spot).

"The team has worked very hard to bring about the final upgrade package in the car and Adrian showed just what it is capable of. We are behind only the two Red Bulls, the two McLarens, the two Ferraris and a Mercedes car, so this means we are right there near the top. It's extremely important that we score points here as it is India's first GP, and given F1 is very unpredictable, you never knowu00a0-- both our cars could end up in points," he said.
