The Ryan Global School, Andheri celebrate ‘Grand Parents’ day just ahead of ‘Children’s day’ today. Ryan Pinto, CEO, The Ryan International Group says, “The idea is to strengthen their bonds and also provide an opportunity for the grandparents to experience some time with their grandkids and their friends.
It is also a time for the grandkids to honour their grandparents and express their gratitude for their love and affection.” The grandparents will receive a special welcome at the school, which will be decorated in their honour. They will also be given mementoes by the kids.
Grace Pinto, MD, Ryan International Group of Institutions has also recently been a recipient of Helpage India Award for its ‘outstanding’ contribution towards senior citizens. The award was presented to her by President of India, Pranab Mukherjee in a glittering ceremony in New Delhi.
Emphasising the importance of grandparents in today’s society, Grace says, “The values of selflessness, love, obedience and simplicity in living, are best learnt from grandparents.”
