After working together on 19 films, the crackling lyricist-composer jodi of Vishal Bhardwaj and Gulzar is set to make a comeback with the soundtrack of upcoming animated film, 'Motu Patlu — King of Kings'. The duo has earlier worked on hit films Maachis (1996), Kaminey (2009), 7 Khoon Maaf (2011) and Dedh Ishqiya (2014).

Making music together was nothing short of a party for them, quite literally so. We hear that once the song was recorded, they had a mini celebration over samosas and soft drinks. Vishal says, “Gulzar saab is the oldest kid in the industry. So, when we are working on a children’s film, he is the ultimate choice.”

The title track titled Dham Dham Dham Damake Ke Dhum, sung by Sukhwinder Singh, is the highlight of the album. The singer has been associated with the characters Motu and Patlu since their inception and he was certain about being a part of their theatrical debut. He said, “Working with Vishal and singing lyrics written by Gulzar saab is an opportunity that not many people get. It was an absolute joyride.”
