Hansraj Morarji Public School (Andheri) earned promotion to the Harris Shield Elite Division after three years by registering a win over Dhirubhai Ambani International School (Bandra) via first innings lead on the last day of the Harris Shield Plate final at Cross Maidan yesterday
Resuming the day at 71-1, the Andheri team went on to score 132-5 in their second innings before the Bandra team conceded the match.
Hansraj skipper Onkar Thakur said, “Once we had a good lead (in the first innings), we knew that we would win the match. This is my last year in the Harris Shield and what a way to end it.”

Meanwhile, the Bandra team’s cricket in-charge Hari Om Phull said, “Our openers didn’t perform as expected. Even the wicket behaved differently from the way it played on the first day. Reaching the final is itself an achievement. We lost to a better side.”
The other three teams to qualify for the Elite Group are Al Barakat MMI High School (Kurla), St Francis D’Assisi (Borivli) and IES Digamber Patkar Vidyalaya (Dadar).u00a0
