Hollywood veteran Harrison Ford says passing the torch of the "Star Wars" universe to younger members, such as John Boyega, was not something he gave any thought to. Boyega's character Finn shares a lot of qualities with Han. The 75-year-old actor, who symbolically encouraged the new cast to continue the journey of the popular sci-fi franchise after the death of his beloved character Han Solo, says he simply played his part.

"I don't know that I thought of it that way at all (passing the baton). I was there to die. And I didn't really give a rat's a** who got my sword," Ford told New York Times. The actor's role ended in the first part of the latest trilogy, "The Force Awakens".
