Raff, whose show was also adapted into the American bestselling series, Homeland, wrote a heartfelt letter to Advani saying that his show has the stirring emotions of the original. The duo sparked off an unlikely friendship which persuaded the Hollywood director to visit the country and spend time on the sets of the Indian remake, which airs in prime starting November.

Informs a unit hand, "Raff lands today. He will be on the sets in Kamalistan Studios from 12 pm to 4 pm. Purab Kohli, who was in London earlier this week, cut short his trip to be in town for this."
The screening of the series' first episode, which will be held at the 18th Mumbai Film Festival on Tuesday, will be followed by a panel discussion between Raff, Advani, Emmy Award winning writer-director Cary Fukunaga (True Detective fame) and Gaurav Banerjee from Star India. Festival director Anupama Chopra will moderate the same.
Nikkhil Advani
Says Nikkhil, "I'm very excited to meet him (Raff) in person. His work has been a guiding light for us since we commenced working on the show. He has always been a call away and has helped with any queries. I really hope his visit to India revives his Hatufim memories."
