Inspired by life
Catch the Chennai-based band, The F16’s, play Electric Indie/Garage Rock. They are a five-piece Rock ‘n’ Roll act with a distinct Indie aesthetic and a hint of Electronica. The band is influenced from modern Indie Rock groups such as Foals, Arctic Monkeys, Mutemath, The Strokes, Vampire Weekends and other bands from the Electronic Dance Music (EDM) genre. Their songs revolve around love, redemption and the lives of youngsters.

Hit the dance floor
Head to Swig where DJ Kaos Kitten aka Malina is performing. DJ Kaos is a prolific House, Tech House and Techno remixer who has been performing all over Asia after and taking to the decks in Moscow. Kaos Kitten started training in music early and was trained in classical instruments all through school. He specialised in the Russian Domra instrument and the Piano. She has been playing on decks and using live remix decks to reshape, remix and add her own unique blend of style to dance floor oriented numbers.

EDM mania
DJ Skazi will be playing some international hits for the first time in Pune. The Israeli Electronica artiste, Asher Swissa, better known by his stage moniker DJ Skazi, has been living the life of an EDM superstar. Over the course of 15 years, since he traded his Punk Rock roots to make Psy-Trance with Rock riffs, DJ Skazi has had more than 20 appearances in India to his credit. Speaking about the event, Skazi whose EP released this month, says, “A quarter of my fanbase is from India. I think Electronica and the new generation of Indians, who are always on Facebook, are growing fast. My next EP will be very Dark Electronica. I’m daring to do this stuff because as the crowd gets bigger, you can experiment more.”
