When you think cactus, deserts, with animal skeletons, and a scorching summer sun is what would come to mind. But cacti bloom too, and if you prefer an edge, literally, to your garden, these make for lovely plants to add green and fun inside your home.
If the imagery is appealing enough, head to the third edition of the Bougainvillaea, Bonsai and Cactus Showu00a0(or BB and C, as they call it) at the Maharashtra Nature Park, which begins today.u00a0

Apart from different variety of cacti, on display, you can spot bonsai and bougainvillaea. Bonsai are known for their beauty but bougainvillaea is another underrated plant. Though its flowers will not scent your home, but when in full bloom, they add a blast of colour to your surroundings.
It’s interconnected to memories of laidback summer afternoons, thanks to the abundant spread that I spotted while on my first trip to Goa. This exhibition is being held in association with the Mumbai Rose Society and Chembur Bonsai Club.
