The sudden downpour caused traffic jams and chaos ensued.
Pune has been witnessing heavy spells of rains since a couple of days but on Monday night it created chaos on the roads.

Areas like camp, Katraj, Kondhwa, Shivajinagar, Narayan Peth, Pimpri, Chinchwad, Aundh were affected by the heavy rains.

As soon as it started raining, several parts of the city went dark, as the electricity supply was affected.
No accident or casualty was reported at the civic hospitals in the city.
Chief medical officers on duty at the Sassoon Hospital in Pune and Yashwantrao Chavan Memorial Hospital of Pimpri-Chinchwad said that no case was reported to their hospitals till 1am.
