Known for her power packed performances and goofy antics off screen, Jennifer Lawrence has one of the most enviable bodies in Hollywood. For her role in X-Men: Apocalypse, which is set to hit Indian theatres a week before its release in the US, J-Law teamed up with her former trainer Dalton Wong, whom she met in 2010 while getting in shape for 'X-Men: First Class where she portrayed the formidable Mystique.

"I could never live on a 'diet'. Dalton taught me how to eat, move, and live a delicious but healthy life. I will always thank him for that," says Jennifer.

While filming 'X-Men: Apocalypse', the actress trained with Wong for 10-12 hours a day over a period of three months. When filming in Oxford, they would start the day with a 20 to 30 minute jog outdoors for 'a nice little wake up' — as Dalton calls it.

Throughout a day of shoot, Wong would have Jennifer do short bursts of high intensity interval training circuits. "We would focus on core exercises and some stretches for about 15 minutes apart from some daily yoga to help relieve the body so one can sleep better and also be able to be more resilient," Wong waxes eloquent.

He adds that snacking thoughtfully is a necessity when following a strict diet: "Popcorn, yoghurt, almond milk, dark chocolate, hummus and hard boiled eggs are recommended."

One thing he wouldn't see Jennifer eat? "Granola or protein bars because they are mostly sugar. I am fine with bars, as long as you make it yourself and know exactly what is going into it," he says.
