Lucknow: Defending champions Ranchi Rhinos managed a 2-1 win over Uttar Pradesh Wizards in the Hero Hockey India League (HIL) at the Dhyan Chand Stadium, here on Saturday.

English drag-flicker Ashley Jackson ensured The Rhinos got the lead when he converted a penalty corner in the 18th minute.
The Wizards' forward line headed by Ramandeep Singh failed to make inroads. The match was witnessed by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav.
