Actress Hina Khan has been accused by a jewellery company of cheating it by not returning ornaments worth over Rs 11 lakh. She has denied receiving a legal notice and pointed at "haters" for the "tactic". The legal notice was sent by lawyer Rakesh K. Singh, founder, RKS Associates, on behalf of the jewellery brand which has not been named. They have accused Hina of sourcing jewellery to wear for an awards event here, but not returning the items, including two pairs of earrings, one ring and one set, in entirety.

When Hina came across the news, Hina tweeted: "LOL. Wonder why this legal notice did not reach my house and instead reached all the media houses. Sorry haters this tactic will not work... Try something new." However, Singh insists the letter was sent.

"Notice has been sent to Hina Khan by way of registered post A.D. by my office. The same was sent on July 17, 2018. As far as jewellery pieces are concerned, she herself received the same on April 21, 2018. She knows that she has returned only two pieces of jewellery out of six. So she should know when and where to stop acting," Singh said in a statement. Hina is meanwhile concentrating on "Bhasoodi", her first music video. "'Bhasoodi' will still shine," she wrote on Twitter in continuation of her earlier post.
