The portal of a Pune-based IT Hinjewadi Industrial Association (HIA)- hiapune.in website was hacked by a terror organisation on Tuesday morning.


The HIA website was allegedly hacked by Fallaga Team which is a Tunisian Islamist hacker group.


The Hinjewadi police station is probing the case.


Inspector Arun Waikar in-charge of Hinjewadi police station said, "We have checked the website it has been hacked. We have also asked our Cyber cell officer about such hacked portal cases and they are assisting us in this case."

HIA president Anil Pathwardhan said, "We are aware about the website being hacked and we have disabled the portal to avoid any further issue on technical purpose. We have approached the police in this regard and will soon come up with a new HIA portal."

Hinjewadi contributes around 60 per cent of Maharashtra’s total IT exports generating a revenue of Rs 35,000 crore. The area has around 90 companies around which more than 45 companies are part of HIA. The major players in this area include Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant, TCS, Persistent, KPIT Cummins along with Accenture and many others.
