The Indian hockey team began its European Tour on a positive note by hammering Leiden Hockey Club (Dutch National Club) 7-0 in the first build-up game played at Oegstgeest, The Netherlands.
This tour is a preparation for the FIH men’s World Cup, scheduled to be held at The Hague, Netherlands from May 31 to June 15. Last year too, India had beaten Leiden but with a narrower margin of 3-2. India will next face HGC Monday.
