Hockey India's Gen Secy Batra tenders apology

Hockey India (HI) secretary general Narinder Batra took the blame and apologised for India's poor show at the FIH Junior World Cup yesterday.

Batra said: “I take responsibility for the dismal performance of Team India in the Jr World Cup. Kindly do not put any blame on the team, the coaching, high performance team.

I, as head of all operations in HI, apologise to the nation, all hockey lovers, the ministry of sports and the Sports Authority of India for letting them down.”u00a0
