Two domestic helps allegedly drugged their 48-year-old employer, his wife, security guard and his driver, and decamped with Rs 1,200 from the bungalow.

The theft occurred at Krushnakunj bungalow in Kalyaninagar on Saturday at 9 pm. Rajendra Goyal told Yerawada police officials that his domestic helps Ramu and Shankar, who hailed from Nepal, had given tea to his wife, security guard Prashant Banerjee, driver Karankumar Singh and him. After having tea, all four felt dizzy and fell unconscious.

“When they regained consciousness, Goyal discovered that his domestic helps had disappeared, and when he checked his wallet, he realised that Rs 1,200 had been stolen from it.”

A case was registered against the two under Section 328 (causing hurt by means of sedatives), 381 (theft by clerk or servant of property in possession of master) and 34 (common Intention) of the IPC.
